The padding allows the bar to sit comfortably on your shoulders, while the handles ensure you have firm grip during movement. This makes it much safer during use, allowing you to get more reps in, increase weight, leading to greater growth and size.
You can also continue training even if you have recently experienced an injury to your upper body, unlike straight bars which applies pressure to your shoulders and become very uncomfortable. Due to the way weight is distributed with the Safety Squat Bar, this forces the user to adopt a more upright position, requiring more upper back and core stabilisation.
